Despite the Road Upheavals, Scott -)
Scott & Julie, a fine hubby and Wife TEan, Good family Food
Friendly, laid-back, comfortable atmosphere. Great staff.
Ahoy! I have been in Ottawa about 11 years and have made my way to just about every pub in the Centretown/Elgin/Market area and Connor's is my face watering hole. Happily, it's not just a place with a really good selection of beer, it also has the best pub food in Ottawa and a great staff! From the owner on down, the gang is warm, welcoming, friendly, efficient, energetic and a whole lot of fun! A lot of the food is from Scott's grandmother's recipes and is delicious. They are flexible on substitutions, too, which is always nice. I guess the best way to sum it up is that its a real pub - not some corporate franchised stamp of a pub. Family owned and run with a comfortable and warm atmosphere, if you enjoy a pub then you better drop by soon!
Comfortable, great atmosphere. Food was good. I would recommend it.
An excellent wee Pub for those who prefer not to be bombarded by loud music and obnoxious drunks. The fare is fine and fresh each day with a well-chosen selection of beers and whiskies. The service is excellent & friendly.
Good people. Great Fish & Chips.
Great fish and chips. Lunch specials...freshly made lasagne with ceasar for $6.99 or hot turkey sand. with choice of side (turkey baked late the night before!!) $6.99... really can't beat it especially for its location littered with over price boxed food !!!!!
Best fish and chips in town!
horrible service and where did the blonde bartender go, she was the only reason we came in
The food was not good, and VERY over priced! The staff used to be the only reason we went in there, however due to high turnover we hardly know anyone anymore.
My friends and I went here, the food was poorly prepared, the management kept taking smoke breaks out front (classy)!!! Very uncomfortable atmosphere
DISGUSTING FOOD, Man behind the bar seemed very arrogant
My friends and I had a terrible time. Service was clumsy and food NOT fresh
Not Irish food.... to call onion rings Irish onion rings does not make them IRISH
A group of us were there, the service was terrible, and server smelt like smoke
Service was just OK, but the food did NOT live up to the BEST fish and chips
Food was just ok and service was poor during the day
The place just looked very dirty, dishes were all over tables
no entertainment, food was ok, all and all the place was boring
We had a group in on a friday afternoon, the food was subpar
Obviously the negative comments posted a minute apart are from a sour puss!!!
Tell me where you can go in this city for fresh pub food under $9.99 ?? !!!
Daily specials prepared on that day for $6.99 ?? !! We work downtown and Connors is the place we always go.
food and service are great justn like being at home
finely someone who knows what a pub is fair priced home made food and great service
Don't order the Club Sandwich.
If you just want a pint and friendly service - this is the place.
Unfortunately, the kitchen staff appears incompentent unless the order is oven baked or deep fried. Furthermore, the portions are at a bare minimum for a $10.49 item. The manager brought over a small plate of chicken to put into my club sandwich (that was essentially just bread, lettuce and a tomato slice). I had to pull the sandwich apart to see that there was bacon.
While the service and management are always friendly, it's a shame they would serve food that wouldn't cut it anywhere else. As repeat customers, we were not impressed and I will go elsewhere for pub fare next time.
the staff and owner made a place to call home now thats a pub!!!!
Good food, confortable place to be
Love the pub drink there often, by far best in the area.
Sunday sep. 8 I waited for a refill 'WARM' beer for ten minutes. After the server served some swamp people in the big window she walked by me again and left me thirsty. I turned away from my Bank Street view of neighborhood diversity to try and get her attention but she decided to ignore ALL the customers and play with the computer.
Having dealt with this sort of service before, I decide to leave and never go back again. Thanks for the beer.
